Here are Alvin Kamara’s current prop bet odds at DraftKings Sportsbook: o/u 82.5 rushing yards, o/u 4.5 receptions and o/u 36.5 receiving yards. Kamara is -190 to score a touchdown, +310 to score 2+ touchdowns, and +340 to score the first touchdown of the game.
Despite the team’s struggles, Alvin Kamara is having another amazing season for the Saints. Kamara ranks third in rushing + receiving yards this season behind only Derrick Henry and Saquon Barkley. Through three different starting quarterbacks and two different head coaches, Kamara has been the constant for this team. The Saints have dealt with a lot of injuries, losing Derek Carr for a few weeks and now missing Chris Olave, Taysom Hill and Rashid Shaheed for extended periods of time. With all of those weapons out for this game, the burden rests even heavier on Kamara to step up.
The Saints are road favorites against the Giants, as that team is in total flux. The Giants are without Dexter Lawrence, their best defensive player, for the rest of the season. Two of their other top defensive players, Bobby Okereke and Deonte Banks, are also out for this game. The Giants’ defense is in the bottom 10 in the NFL in EPA/play, EPA/dropback and EPA/rush. Those numbers will only get worse without a few key contributors on the defensive side of the ball.
My favorite prop for Kamara in this game is for him to go over 36.5 receiving yards. Running backs have put up big numbers in the receiving game against the Giants this season. Bucky Irving had 64 receiving yards, Kenneth Walker III had 57 receiving yards and Austin Ekeler had 47 and 41 receiving yards in the two games where he faced the Giants. Without Taysom Hill, Kamara could take a lot of those underneath targets that Hill has turned into big gains the past few weeks. Kamara has cleared this number in seven out of 12 games this season and should do so again with such a favorable matchup.
