The Spurs upgraded Victor Wembanyama to questionable for Sunday’s contest agains the Pelicans.
The star big has been sidelined with a back injury for the past two games, but he’s progressing toward a return.

Wembanyama is averaging 23.5 points, 10.4 rebounds, 3.8 assists and 3.4 blocks per game on 47.6 percent shooting from the field and 33.7 percent from distance. His 3.4 blocks per game leads the NBA. He’s played in 18 of the Spurs’ 23 games.
The Spurs host the Pelicans at 7 p.m. ET on Sunday, Dec. 8.
