Top Fantasy Football Sleepers

WR Elijah Moore, Cleveland Browns ($4,800)

While they might not be very good, the Browns are fun to watch now that Jameis Winston ($5,400) has taken over behind center. The veteran quarterback has unlocked Cleveland’s passing game, turning previously ignored pass-catchers into fantasy relevant options. That includes wide receiver Elijah Moore, who put together an eight-catch, 111-yard performance against the Broncos on Monday night.

Acquired from the Jets in 2023, Moore has yet to impress with his new team, averaging 37.5 receiving yards over the past two seasons. To be fair, that lack of production is partially due to the miserable play of Deshaun Watson. Since Winston stepped in as a starter in Week 8, the fourth-year wideout has been the fantasy WR38. The Steelers’ defense is terrific, but they can be beaten through the air, as the Bengals did last week. Moore could deliver sneaky flex value on Sunday in Pittsburgh.

TE Juwan Johnson, New Orleans Saints ($3,400)

The Saints lost another offensive weapon last week, as do-it-all tight end Taysom Hill suffered a torn ACL that will sideline him for the rest of the season. The injury is a tough blow for a New Orleans team that has struggled to find consistency in the passing game around quarterback Derek Carr ($5,100). Considering the lack of healthy, proven options at wide receiver, the veteran gunslinger might turn to a familiar face down the middle of the field.

Juwan Johnson has never been known as an elite target, but he’s shown some big play ability before. The 6’4″ tight end has hauled in 17 touchdowns over the past four seasons, six of which came from Carr. Last week against the Rams, the pair connected on five catches (seven targets) for 36 yards. Now that Hill is out of the picture, there could be even more production in store against a mediocre Giants defense. At such a low price, Johnson is definitely someone DFS managers need to consider this week.

RB Sincere McCormick, Las Vegas Raiders ($4,600)

Starting a member of the Raiders’ backfield isn’t for the faint of heart. Las Vegas’ offensive issues have been well-documented, with the team turning to either Gardner Minshew II or Aidan O’Connell ($4,800) throughout the season. Injuries to running backs Alexander Mattison ($5,100) and Zamir White ($4,200) have led to snaps for the duo of Ameer Abdullah ($4,700) and Sincere McCormick over the past two weeks.

There’s a chance that one of Mattison or White does return this week, but that might not ruin McCormick’s value. The undrafted rookie out of UTSA looked good last week against the Chiefs, rushing for 66 yards on 12 carries. This week’s opponent, the Buccaneers, have given up the tenth-most DK fantasy points to opposing running backs. Should head coach Antonio Pierce decide to mix it up, it might mean more carries for McCormick. Given the dearth of available talent at the position, desperate DFS and season-long fantasy managers could do worse than taking a flier here.
