The Spurs are finishing a back-to-back at home on Friday night against the Kings. They will likely be without Victor Wembanyama ($10,500; back) for a second straight game after listing the second-year big man as doubtful with a back injury. They also listed Devin Vassell (injury management) as out, leaving more work for several other players on their roster. While Zach Collins ($5,000) and Charles Bassey ($4,000) will help pick up Wemby and Vassell’s minutes, my favorite DFS play from the Spurs this Friday is actually Johnson, who will look to continue his strong recent form with more usage available.

SF/PF Keldon Johnson, San Antonio Spurs vs. Sacramento Kings, $4,500
Johnson had a season-high 28 points in 28 minutes against the Bulls last night, totaling 35.25 fantasy points. He has scored double-digit points in six of his last seven games, producing 24.8 fantasy points per game at the rate of 0.96 fantasy points per minute.
With Vassell and Wemby off the floor this season, Johnson’s usage has increased by over three percentage points, and he has produced 0.98 fantasy points per minute. Johnson’s salary has been trending down over the last few weeks while Vassell’s role has grown, but he should be able to outproduce this price point with extra work available in a favorable matchup at home against the Kings.
