Here are Goff’s current prop bet odds at DraftKings Sportsbook: o/u 249.5 passing yards, o/u 1.5 passing touchdowns and o/u 0.5 interceptions. Goff is +1200 to score a touchdown, +14000 to score 2+ touchdowns and +5500 to score the first touchdown of the game.
Goff is having an MVP-caliber season for the Lions. Josh Allen, Saquon Barkley, Lamar Jackson and Goff are the only four players with odds of +1200 or better to win the MVP at DraftKings Sportsbook. There is a big drop off to +2500 where Patrick Mahomes has the next best odds. Goff is eighth in the league in passing yards and fifth in passing touchdowns, but most importantly has the Lions atop the NFC at 11-1. This is a pivotal matchup for them to secure control of the NFC North with the Packers and Vikings right on their tail.
Goff has been much better at home than on the road throughout his career and that has persisted throughout this season. He has a 12-3 TD-INT ratio at home compared to a 10-6 ratio on the road. The Packers’ defense has also not been as good on the road as they have been at home, so the matchup only improves for Goff there. Green Bay is allowing 18.1 points per game at home compared to 22.6 PPG on the road. The Packers are 31st in defensive dropback success rate which means they struggle to create negative plays when defending the pass. That should allow Goff to move the ball down the field and find the end zone.
My favorite prop bet for Goff in this game is for him to go over 1.5 passing touchdowns. He is averaging 2.0 passing touchdowns per game at home and 2.0 touchdowns per game over his last four games. The Lions are the highest-scoring offense in the NFL and nobody has been able to slow them down. They scored 24 points against Green Bay earlier this season despite not having Jameson Williams and having to play on the road in a hostile environment. At home with all of their weapons, the Lions’ offense should have a big day, including a couple touchdown passes from Goff.
