The Raptors host the Thunder on Thursday night having, looking for their third straight victory. On DraftKings Sportsbook, Toronto is a 9.5-point underdog and the game carries a total 226.5 points.

Scottie Barnes 8+ Assists (+120)
Barnes has been a man possessed since returning from an 11-game absence back in late November. If you exclude his official come-back start against the Timberwolves — where the former Rookie of the Year was on a minutes restriction — Barnes is averaging 24.7 points, 10.3 rebounds and, of course, 8.2 assists in his last six contests. Specific to the last three, he’s managed to exceed this prop.
Even with the emergence of teammate RJ Barrett, this is clearly Barnes’ team when he’s healthy. In that same six-game span, Barnes is touching the ball an average of 91.3 times per contest — the fifth-highest mark in the NBA, trailing only LaMelo Ball, Nikola Jokic, Tyrese Haliburton and Cade Cunningham. He also sits eighth in passes per game (63.0) and fifth in potential assists per game (15.5).
Obviously, potential assists can be a bit of a red herring when it comes to hitting the over on an assists prop. We care not for passes that could have been a dime, so it’s up to Barnes’ teammates to actually make the shots that are facilitated by the All-Star. However, there’s some reason for optimism here, too. Toronto shoots 48.0% at home compared to just 46.0% on the road. There’s a chance that sharpshooter Gradey Dick return this evening, as well. Dick has missed the last four games with a calf issue and he’s listed as questionable.
