With Banchero off the floor this season, Wagner is leading the Magic with a 31.8% usage rate and a 33.2% assist percentage, with that latter rate being a 2.3 percentage point increase from his average.
Wagner is averaging 33 PA with Banchero off the court on a per 36-minute basis this season and Wagner is facing a depleted 76ers team on Wednesday. Joel Embiid (injury recovery), Paul George (injury recovery) and Andre Drummond (ankle) will all be out, which leaves Guerschon Yabusele as Philadelphia’s starting center and with the 28-year-old on the floor this season, the 76ers’ defensive rating has been at 115.8. For some perspective, this would be the eighth-worst defensive rating in the NBA if this was Philadelphia’s rating for the season.
Even with Embiid, George and Drummond all active when these teams met on Nov. 15th, Wagner went off for 31 points and six assists. The potential All-Star has similar upside this evening and needs to be attacked for over 32.5 PA on DraftKings Sportsbook.
