The Timberwolves have been … confusing. The team reached the Western Conference Finals last year but opted to trade Karl-Anthony Towns for Julius Randle and Donte DiVincenzo in the offseason. It hasn’t quite worked out yet as Minnesota is just 10-10 this year.
Anthony Edwards, however, has been excellent this year. He’s averaging 26.7 points, 5.5 rebounds, 3.7 assists and 1.3 steals per game. He’s also knocking down 4.5 three-pointers per game on a 42.3 percent clip — both are career bests.
Minnesota recently endured a four-game losing streak but has won the past two games against both Los Angeles teams at home. The Timberwolves get another game against the Clippers as they begin a three-game California road trip.

Betting the under is rarely fun, but here’s a decent opportunity to capitalize.
Edwards is averaging 26.7 points per game this season, but he’s struggled lately. He’s scored 21 and eight points in the last two games and is shooting just 33.8 percent from the field in his past four contests. The 21-point outing came against the Clippers at home, and tonight’s matchup is on the road against the Clippers.
The Clippers play at the league’s slowest pace and have the sixth best defensive efficiency. They slowed down Edwards last time and should do so again. Minnesota won 93-92, which is why tonight’s game total is set at a low 214. The Timberwolves factor into the slow pace as well. They rank seventh in defensive efficiency and 24th in pace.
Edwards has hit the under in eight of his 20 games this season, but his recent inefficiency and both team’s slow pace favors the under. The Clippers are underdogs, but expect them to control the game at home and limit Edwards’ production again.
