Paul George will be available tonight, but Maxey has scored at least 28 points in two of the three games he and George have been active for without Embiid.
Maxey leads Philadelphia with a 31.2% usage rate with Embiid off the court this season and while the Hornets rank 13th in defensive efficiency this season, they are decimated by injuries right now, with LaMelo Ball (calf), Miles Birdges (knee) and Grant Williams (knee) all out.
Sitting at 4-14, the 76ers can’t afford to drop this game to this depleted Charlotte club. Maxey should see huge minutes in this tight 4.5-point spread and he should surpass this 24.5-point scoring line.
