It’s a loaded eleven-game slate of NBA Cup action on Tuesday. With plenty stars across the association playing, narrowing down a select group of big names to start in season-long fantasy and DFS formats is no easy task. Here are the three guards at the top of tonight’s board:

1. Luka Doncic, Dallas Mavericks vs. MEM ($11,000)
Luka Doncic took the floor for the first time in nearly two weeks on Monday, and he wasted no time picking up where he left off. Dallas’ MVP candidate dropped 36 points, seven rebounds and 13 assists on the Trail Blazers in a 137-131 win. Through fifteen games this season, the 25-year-old is averaging 28.6 points, 7.6 rebounds and 8.0 assists on 44.9% shooting from the field.
Tonight’s matchup is a clear step up from Portland, as the Grizzlies wield one of the NBA’s top defenses. Still, that hasn’t stopped Doncic in the past. The Slovenian superstar has scored more than 30 points in each of his last five outings against Memphis. With one of the league’s most dangerous combinations of skill and usage, Luka remains a walking triple-double threat.
2. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Oklahoma City Thunder vs. UTA ($10,300)
We’ll now turn to another MVP candidate, this time leading the Western Conference’s top seed. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander is the engine that keeps the Thunder running, even after a significant injury to starting center Chet Holmgren. This season, the two-time All-Star has posted 30.0 points, 5.5 rebounds, 6.5 assists and a combined 2.8 blocks and steals. With so many ways for him to produce, SGA might be the game’s most well-rounded superstar.
Tuesday’s home game against the Jazz is the perfect spot for Gilgeous-Alexander. This season, Utah has given up the third-most DK fantasy points to opposing guards. There is a fear this one turns into a blowout, as Oklahoma City is favored by 13.5 points. Still, there should be enough time for the Canadian to put together another stat-stuffing performance against a weak defense.
3. Cade Cunningham, Detroit Pistons vs. MIL ($9,700)
Cade Cunningham’s terrific start continued last Friday, as the do-it-all guard put up 24 points, six rebounds and 11 assists vs. the Pacers. The fourth-year pro has compiled an impressive stat line, generating 23.5 points, 7.2 rebounds and 9.0 assists through 18 games. He’s averaging 49.8 DK fantasy points this season.
The Pistons will host the Bucks tonight in a matchup that Cunningham has shown he can dominate. The last time these two teams met on November 13th, the former number one pick compiled 35 points, seven rebounds and 11 assists. Given Milwaukee’s well-documented struggles on the perimeter, this defense is not equipped to stop Detroit’s budding star.
