Best Giannis Antetokounmpo props for December 3

The Milwaukee Bucks and Detroit Pistons will face off in their final NBA Cup group matchup, which has high stakes. Both teams enter undefeated in group play, and the winner will secure home-court advantage for the knockout stage.

Milwaukee has won six straight games, fueled by Giannis Antetokounmpo’s dominance. The two-time MVP is coming off his first career 40-point triple-double, a performance that featured 42 points, 12 rebounds and 11 assists in a 124-114 victory over the Washington Wizards.

Antetokounmpo, who leads the NBA in scoring at 32.9 points per game, has historically been a problem for Detroit. Earlier this season, he tallied 59 points, 14 rebounds and seven assists in an overtime win over the Pistons. Milwaukee has won 10 straight games against Detroit and 22 of the last 23 meetings.

On DraftKings Sportsbook, the Bucks are favored by three points (-110) and are -148 on the moneyline. Here’s a Giannis Antetokounmpo prop to consider.

Best Giannis Antetokounmpo Prop Bet on DraftKings Sportsbook

Giannis Antetokounmpo Over 49.5 PTS + REB + AST (-110)

Antetokounmpo has consistently surpassed 49.5 combined points, rebounds and assists this season, fueled by his ability to impact all facets of the game. With averages of 32.9 points, 11.9 rebounds and 6.6 assists, his typical output already places him close to this line. Against Detroit, he’s proven capable of significantly exceeding it, as shown by his earlier 80 combined points, rebounds and assists in their lone matchup this season.

The Pistons’ defense has shown improvement in the NBA Cup, but they lack the personnel to slow down Antetokounmpo effectively. Ausar Thompson and Jalen Duren bring energy and length, but Antetokounmpo’s size makes him capable of simply transcending whoever tries to contain him on the perimeter or help in the paint in most situations. Additionally, Detroit’s struggles defending pick-and-roll favors Antetokounmpo, particularly when he’s playing in the two-man game with Damian Lillard.

Milwaukee’s two-man game with Antetokounmpo and Lillard has become increasingly potent, creating opportunities for Giannis to attack mismatches or score as a roll man. Detroit, which lacks a top-tier rim protector, will likely struggle to contain him in the paint, where he thrives. Giannis is averaging a staggering 22.1 points in the paint per game. The next-closest player is Nikola Jokic at 16.9 per game.

Keeping turnovers under control has been an issue for the Pistons this season, compromising their transition defense. Detroit ranks in the 20th percentile in transition defensive efficiency, which can be problematic against the league leader in transition, scoring 8.8 points per game.

With Milwaukee needing a win to secure its position in the NBA Cup, Antetokounmpo will surely try to elevate his game and continue his recent dominant run.
