Here are Saquon Barkley’s current prop bet odds at DraftKings Sportsbook: o/u 88.5 rushing yards and o/u 18.5 receiving yards. Barkley is -180 to score a touchdown, +310 to score 2+ touchdowns and +500 to score the first touchdown of the game.
Saquon Barkley is exceeding the already high expectations set for him in Philadelphia. Barkley is now +475 to win the NFL MVP, the third-best odds to win the award behind only Lamar Jackson and Josh Allen. After an absurd 255-yard rushing performance last week against the Rams, Barkley now leads the NFL in rushing yards. There is no sign of Barkley slowing down, in fact, his production is ramping up over the past few weeks and he has been a threat out of the backfield as a receiver the past two weeks as well.
The Ravens are a daunting opponent for Barkley and the Eagles. Baltimore ranks 2nd in the NFL in defensive EPA/rush and defensive rushing success rate. They have been able to dominate in the trenches all season and force teams to pass. The bad news for Baltimore is that they have been vulnerable to the passing game. Baltimore is 28th in the NFL in defensive EPA/dropback. So, they are an elite rush defense but a bottom-tier pass defense. Jalen Hurts and Saquon Barkley hold such a dangerous threat with their rushing attack that it should completely open up the passing game for the Eagles against a bad secondary.
That is why my favorite prop bet for this game is for Saquon Barkley to go over 18.5 receiving yards. Barkley had had 40 or more receiving yards in three of his past four games. This is also a great matchup as the Ravens have allowed the fourth-most receiving yards per game to opposing running backs. They have given up 45.5 receiving yards per game to opposing running backs, which is partially due to their great run defense. It is nearly impossible to run between the tackles against Baltimore so opposing offenses are getting the ball to their backs through the air and letting them create in space, rather than running the football. The Eagles should do the same thing here and get Barkley over that receiving total.
