Garrett Wilson and the Jets are really struggling heading into this game. The Jets have lost seven of their past eight games and their whole offense is really struggling. Garrett Wilson was one of the top receivers in the league through the first couple of months of the season but has really tailed off the past couple of weeks. Wilson has combined for just nine catches and 59 receiving yards over the past two games. As the team struggles and Davante Adams continues to take more targets away, Wilson’s stock continues to drop. Breece Hall has also picked up his production on the ground and through the air to take yardage away from Wilson.
This Seahawks secondary is continuing to improve as the season goes on. They now rank in the top half of the league in defensive EPA/dropback at 15th in the NFL. They also rank 15th in defensive dropback success rate and 14th in opponent passing yards per attempt. With the Jets offense in flux, the Seahawks should jump on them early and force Aaron Rodgers into mistakes. The Jets’ offense ranks 19th in offensive EPA/dropback and 19th in dropback success rate. The Seahawks are in better form at the moment in that matchup and have the better season-long metrics.
My favorite prop for this game is for Garrett Wilson to go under 59.5 receiving yards. He has not come close to this number in either of his past two games and has only cleared it in six out of 11 games this season. The Jets’ organization has been overhauled and Aaron Rodgers is publicly speculating on his future with the team. That could lead to the sharp downturn that this team is on to continue to get worse and Garrett Wilson will be a casualty of that downturn. Wilson should stay under this number for the third straight game against the Seahawks.
