The longtime franchise bell cow, Chubb doesn’t have the same spark after years of an extensive workload paired with various severe lower body injuries. He looks hampered at times running between the tackles, as he fails to hit the next gear as frequently as in past years. Chubb is still a physical specimen, and there have been some recent flashes of the once-All-Pro bruiser.
Denver has the second-best pass defense in the league, according to EPA. It has a pair of dominant corners on the boundaries, and offenses have struggled to air it out against this talented secondary. Cleveland will have to pound the rock in hopes of moving the chains, and Chubb is unquestionably the lead ball carrier when healthy.
He’s passed this mark twice in the last four weeks and is coming off rushing the ball 20 times last week. The great value, coupled with the projected game script, makes this line too enticing to pass up.
