Warriors +2.5 (-112)
The Warriors head to Phoenix on Saturday, hoping to snap their recent struggles. Both teams are coming off losses to the Nets this week. Phoenix (11-7) has been reeling since Kevin Durant’s injury, but he returned this week, scoring 23 points in a win over the Lakers before falling to the Nets. Despite Durant’s return, turnovers have been an issue, especially in the Suns’ recent loss to Brooklyn.
The Warriors (12-6) face a similar turnover problem but are optimistic about Stephen Curry’s return after missing a game due to sore knees. Curry’s presence should elevate the Warriors’ offense, and with both teams struggling, Golden State appears to be a solid option to cover a +2.5 spread.
Mavericks -6.5 (-110)
Dallas has managed well without Luka Doncic, winning four of the last five games in his absence. Although Doncic is doubtful for Saturday’s game against the Jazz, the Mavericks (11-8) have stepped up with key performances from Kyrie Irving and a very balanced wealth of scoring options, including Naji Marshall and P.J. Washington, among others. The recent rock bottom point for Dallas was a defensive breakdown on a final possession at Delta Center in a 115-113 loss. This team will be motivated to get a victory.
The Jazz (4-14) has been hit hard by injuries, with several key players including Lauri Markkanen and John Collins sidelined, but they will return for this game. With Dallas’ offense firing and Utah struggling to find consistency, the Mavericks are in a favorable position to cover the -6.5 spread.
Hawks -5.5 (-108)
The Hawks are riding a two-game win streak and have shown resilience in their recent performances. After a dominant second-half performance to beat Cleveland, the Hawks (9-11) have benefited from solid play by Trae Young, who is leading the NBA in assists.
Charlotte (6-13) has been struggling, especially with LaMelo Ball out due to injury. The Hornets have lost four of their last five games, and without their star, Atlanta should cover the -5.5 spread.
Giannis Antetokounmpo Over 50.5 PTS + REB + AST (-120)
The Bucks (9-9) have found their rhythm after a rough start to the season, and Giannis Antetokounmpo has been central to their success. He has averaged 32.4 points, 11.9 rebounds and 6.4 assists this season.
The Wizards (2-15) are struggling on both ends, and Antetokounmpo is expected to return from a knee issue, so he should dominate in this matchup. Given Washington’s defensive woes and the Bucks’ momentum, Giannis is poised to surpass the 50.5-point, rebound and assist threshold.
Trae Young PTS + AST Over 34.5 (-105)
Trae Young has been highly productive this season, averaging 21.7 points, 12.4 assists and 3.6 rebounds. In his last five games, Young has averaged an impressive 19.2 points and 14.6 assists, including a dynamic performance against the Cavaliers with 21 points and 11 assists.
With Charlotte struggling to contain opposing stars and Young playing at a high level, he’s well-positioned to surpass the 34.5 combined points and assists. His high assist numbers make this a strong bet. The Hornets’ defensive limitations should give Young plenty of opportunities to rack up both points and assists, making the over on 34.5 a solid choice.
