Only five NBA games tip off on Saturday, but hoops fans are still getting treated to some quality matchups. That includes a west coast showdown between Stephen Curry’s Warriors and Kevin Durant’s Suns. With so many players to choose from, there’s plenty of ways to get in on the action with DraftKings Sportsbook, including DraftKings NBA Pick6 selections ahead of tonight’s matchups.
Damian Lillard more than 24.5 points

The Bucks have turned their season around, reeling off five straight victories to get their record to 9-9. That’s due in large part to the play of Damian Lillard. The eight-time All Star has averaged 26.0 points, 4.5 rebounds and 7.7 assists through fifteen games. The 34-year-old has put talk of his decline to rest, improving on both his counting stats and efficiency from last season.
Milwaukee will have a golden opportunity to go over .500 when the two-win Wizards visit town. Among the many things wrong with Washington, the team is playing atrocious defense, allowing 123.1 points per game, second-most in the NBA. Over his last five games in this matchup, Lillard has posted 31.2 points. While there’s always the chance this one turns into a blowout, this is a low number you’d never be able to get against any other squad.
Trae Young more than 21.5 points

It’s been an uneven start for Trae Young. Although the point guard is dishing out a career-best 12.4 assists per game, he’s shooting just 39% from the field. That includes a steep decline from beyond the arc, where the sharpshooter is only connecting on 32.4% of his three-point attempts.
However, a date with the Hornets could be the perfect get right spot for Atlanta’s star. Charlotte isn’t a pushover on defense, but they have struggled in this spot before. During the previous eight meetings between these two teams, Young has put up more than 22 points six times. There’s no reason to think he can’t do it again on Saturday.
Malcolm Brogdon less than 13.5 points

While you’d be forgiven for avoiding Wizards basketball, the team does have some quality pieces coming off the bench. That includes former Sixth Man of the Year Malcolm Brogdon. The former Celtic hasn’t started any games for Washington, but he’s still contributing with 12.2 points in just 23.0 minutes since making his season debut on November 17th.
Although Brogdon is having a nice start to the season, this could be a trap for the point guard. Milwaukee, normally porous on the perimeter, has been playing improved defense this year, holding opponents to 112.3 points per game (12th-fewest). In a game that the Bucks are favored by 15 points, the Wizards might opt to give their younger players more playing time. That’s bad news for a veteran already playing with a reduced workload.
Lauri Markkanen more than 6.5 rebounds

Even though the Jazz are one of the NBA’s worst teams, they have gotten more out of their best player recently. Following a poor start to the year, Lauri Markkanen has averaged 20.1 points and 6.4 rebounds on 50.0% shooting over his last ten appearances. The forward has always been one of the more skilled offensive players in the league, so it was only a matter of time until he got going again.
Rather than his scoring, it’s actually the big man’s ability on the glass that stands out for tonight’s matchup. The Mavericks are giving up the seventh-most rebounds to opponents this year (53.7 RPG), a number that has gone up in the absence of Luka Doncic. Markkanen has nabbed at least eight boards in four of his last five outings, so all signs are pointing to a repeat in this one.
Devin Booker more than 6.5 assists

Now that Kevin Durant has returned from injury, Devin Booker’s days as the top dog in Phoenix appear to be over. Still, the two-time All-NBA selection is too talented to stay uninvolved in the offense, whether it’s as a scorer or a distributor. This season, he’s putting up 24.6 points and 6.5 assists on 44.6% shooting from the field.
In games played with Durant throughout his career, Booker is averaging 6.9 assists, right at tonight’s line. Over his last five outings vs. the Warriors, the former Kentucky Wildcat has dished out at least seven dimes four times. Golden State’s defense is tough, but Booker is well-positioned to serve as a creator in this Suns offense.
Jordan Poole more than 24.5 points + assists

After a nightmare first season with the Wizards, it was fair to wonder if Jordan Poole would ever be a starting-caliber guard. So far this year, the sharpshooter is silencing the doubters, generating 20.3 points, 2.1 rebounds and 4.7 assists on a respectable 44.2% field goal percentage. While we’re still in November, it’s fair to say that this is a new and improved version of Poole.
The Michigan product has emerged as Washington’s best player, leading the team in points (305), three-pointers made (48) and three-point percentage (43.2%). He’s also had success against the Bucks, putting up 24.0 points and 7.0 assists in his last three games vs. Milwaukee. With Kyle Kuzma already ruled out for tonight, there’s little standing in the way of another big-time Poole performance.
