Worlds collide here, as Irving has been close to a weekly bet for me, as has targeting rushing props against the Panthers. Even with Irving’s number on the rise, his role and the matchup still dictate a play. Irving has crushed his prop in consecutive weeks, rushing for a total of 25-162-2 over the two games, which is nearly 6.5 yards per carry. He’s clearly the most productive ball carrier in Tampa’s backfield, and now gets the perfect matchup in Week 13.
Carolina’s run defense ranks last in the NFL in yards per game allowed, and is surrendering 184 rushing yards in home games. The Panthers have allowed opposing running backs to top this number in nine games so far this season, including games of multiple rushers topping it. Look for Irving to add his name to the list.
