49ers quarterback Brock Purdy had a sore right shoulder after Week 11’s game against the Seattle Seahawks, in which he went 21-of-28 for 159 yards, a touchdown and an interception. Purdy ended up missing Week 12 due to injury.
Purdy had a light throwing session on Monday and was limited on Wednesday and Thursday, but notched a full practice on Friday. While Purdy is officially designated as questionable, but head coach Kyle Shanahan said that Purdy will play and that the “fact that he’s going to be playing means that he’s healthy.”
Despite their 5-6 record, San Francisco is only one game back of the NFC West lead. Purdy is a big upgrade from backup Brandon Allen, who went 17-of-29 for 199 yards, a touchdown and an interception in Green Bay.
Unfortunately, this Week 13 game will be in Buffalo against a Bills team that is one of the best in the league. In addition, left tackle Trent Williams has been ruled out.
