Following a much-needed road win in Minnesota, the Kings will look nab another victory on Friday night against the Trail Blazers. Sacramento has been one of the NBA’s most inconsistent teams, sitting at a record of 9-10. However, star center Domantas Sabonis has been as steady as they come. Not only is Sabonis one of the game’s best rebounders, but he’s also an incredibly gifted passer. That gives the nine-year veteran an incredibly high floor for production even when his shot isn’t falling. Since being traded to the Kings in 2022, the big man is averaging 11.4 boards and 7.5 assists per game.
While they’ve shown improvement, the Trail Blazers are playing below-average defense this season, giving up the 19th-most points in the NBA (114.0 PPG). Still, Portland is giving up the third-most rebounds (56.4 RPG) and the seventh-most assists (27.3 APG) to opposing teams. Considering the amount of offensive firepower on their roster, it’s tough to envision any the Kings’ stars slowing down tonight.
