Here are Malik Nabers’ current prop bet odds at DraftKings Sportsbook: o/u 68.5 receiving yards and o/u 6.5 receptions. Nabers is +215 to score a touchdown, +2200 to score 2+ touchdowns and +1000 to score the first touchdown of the game.
Malik Nabers was very frustrated with his lack of action in the first post-Daniel Jones game of the season. That was with Tommy DeVito at quarterback but on Thanksgiving, it will be Drew Lock playing quarterback for the Giants. Lock is far from a great quarterback but he is more willing than DeVito to push the ball down the field, which should be good news for Malik Nabers. It wasn’t until the Giants were already down 30-0 last week that DeVito finally decided to get the ball deep to Nabers. Lock should at least be willing to try to get the ball to Nabers, even if it leads to a mistake or two.
The Cowboys can be exploited through the air. They rank 19th in the NFL in defensive EPA/dropback and that is ignoring the fact that in many games teams aren’t trying to throw deep on them for a lot of the game because they already have an early lead. That is evidenced by the fact that the Cowboys rank 26th in the NFL in defensive EPA/dropback during the first halves of games. So, the Giants should attack this secondary as they really have nothing left to lose.
Drew Lock averages 7.9 air yards per attempt this season compared to 6.1 air yards per attempt from Tommy DeVito. Lock’s average air yards per attempt is even higher than Daniel Jones’ average so Lock is the most aggressive of the three Giant quarterbacks. That should lead to Nabers catching at least one deep ball and going over his longest reception prop of 21.5 yards. Nabers cleared this number in each of his four games as an NFL player but has been held back by really bad quarterback play the past few weeks. Lock will at least be willing to give Nabers a shot on a deep route and he should be able to hit at least one.
