The Lions host the Bears in an NFC North division rivalry game on Thanksgiving. Here are some Jahmyr Gibbs prop bets to consider at DraftKings Sportsbook.
Jahmyr Gibbs Prop Bets
Here are Jahmyr Gibbs’ current prop bet odds at DraftKings Sportsbook: o/u 73.5 rushing yards, o/u 2.5 receptions and o/u 20.5 receiving yards. Gibbs is -185 to score a touchdown, +275 to score 2+ touchdowns and +370 to score the first touchdown of the game.
Jahmyr Gibbs is having a massive season as part of this incredible Detroit offense. Gibbs is fourth in the league in rushing yards and tied for fourth in rushing touchdowns, despite sharing a lot of the workload with David Montgomery. Gibbs is the more explosive back between the two and is more of a threat as a pass-catcher, as well, which has led to his big numbers across the board, including 11 total touchdowns in 11 games.
David Montgomery’s injury status is important to monitor for Thursday when betting on Jahmyr Gibbs’ props. Montgomery left Sunday’s game against the Colts with a shoulder injury. That led to an increased workload for Gibbs, who exploded for 90 rushing yards and two touchdowns. Montgomery and Dan Campbell both seem optimistic that Montgomery will play on Thursday, although he could have a smaller workload if he is not at 100%. That will only increase the touches for Gibbs against the Chicago defense.
The Bears’ defense ranks 20th in EPA/rush, tied for 30th in yards per carry allowed and 29th in yards per reception allowed. The metrics being that bad against the run and the pass indicates poor tackling, which means opponents pick up big chunks after contact. There could be a lot of opportunities for Gibbs to break off explosive runs and receptions against this Bears defense.
My favorite prop bet for Gibbs is for him to score 2+ touchdowns at +240. The only three Lions players with more than four touchdowns are David Montgomery, Amon-Ra St. Brown and Jahmyr Gibbs. St. Brown and Montgomery are both banged up heading into this game and there is a risk of re-injury or a decreased workload to keep them healthy. That should lead to a bigger share of touches for Gibbs, particularly in the red zone. Gibbs just had his third game of the season scoring 2+ touchdowns last week and he should be able to replicate that performance against the Bears.
Pick: Jahmyr Gibbs 2+ Touchdowns (+275)
