New year, same story for the Miami Dolphins. This team beats up on the weak competition, but can’t pickup wins against quality competition, particularly when we get outside in the cold weather. Miami sits at 5-6 this season, but is getting some love for the three-game winning streak its on. However, those wins have come over the Patriots, Raiders and Rams, with the wins earlier in the season also over the Pats and Jaguars. In short, no quality wins. The Dolphins have lost games to Buffalo (twice), Arizona, Indy, Seattle and even Tennessee.
This is a trend for Miami. Look back to last season and you’ll see the Dolphins’ best victory was probably a narrow win at home over the Cowboys. Every quality opponent Miami played last season also resulted in a loss, including three straight to end the season against Baltimore, Buffalo and Kansas City. Going out into the elements has long given the Dolphins issues, and that’s exactly what they’re going to need to do on Thanksgiving night against a good Green Bay team at Lambeau Field.
The Packers have now won six of seven games, really hitting their stride with a healthy Jordan Love. This just isn’t a game Miami wins. I’ll avoid laying over a field goal here and just tie the Pack in with the Chiefs to win on Black Friday as monster home favorites over a stumbling Raiders squad.
