DeAndre Hopkins has had an up-and-down start to his life as a Kansas City Chief. In his first game, Hopkins recorded eight catches for 86 yards and two touchdowns. In the two games since? He has totaled 12 catches for 120 yards and a score.
These numbers simply are not good enough for him to be a reliable starter, and it’s the reason why Hopkins needs to sit in Week 13. To make matters worse, the Chiefs play the Raiders who are solid against the pass, ranking 12th in the league in that category.
Hopkins simply does not have the recent production, volume, or matchup to make him a worthwhile starter in Week 13. If you are in a pinch, he could be worth a shot in the dark in your FLEX position.
