The Giants and Cowboys are both beyond dinged up this season, and now meet on a short week on Thanksgiving in Dallas. The Giants just made the big move to part ways with Daniel Jones, and things didn’t quite workout with the initial move to Tommy DeVito. Fresh off getting blown out at home against the Bucs, the Giants will face a Cowboys team coming off a bonkers road win over the Commanders as a double-digit dog.
The win for Dallas has the public believe in the Cowboys as a short home favorite on Thanksgiving, especially after such a poor showing on Sunday by the G-Men. Not so fast. Dallas sustained even more injuries on Sunday in Washington, to both the defense and offensive line. Cooper Rush is also pretty dinged up, and the Giants defense is nothing to scoff at.
With DeVito unlikely to play, I’m actually happy with the upgrade to Drew Lock under center for the Giants. Lock is the better quarterback, and should provide a spark for this offense. New York has the better defense, and may should be able to move the ball pretty well both through the air and on the ground with Lock. I’m expecting a tight game in Dallas that the Giants have a chance to win.

One of the major advantages the Giants should have in Dallas is moving the ball on the ground. I’ve targeted against this defense on the ground all season, with the Cowboys ranking 31st in rushing yards per game allowed — over 150 per game, including over 195 per game at home. Tracy is coming off a poor game from a yardage standpoint, but the game script in a 30-7 loss to Tampa didn’t give him much of a chance.
Still, Tracy managed 42 rushing yards on nine carries last week, and his usage in weeks prior are encouraging. He’d topped this yardage mark in four of the six games since becoming the lead back, including three in a row prior to this past Sunday. That included going over 100 yards overseas against a Carolina defense that ranks similar to Dallas against the run.
In a game that I like New York to be competitive, I’ll also play on Tracy to exceed expectations on the ground at Jerry World.
