It’s a loaded five-game, ten-team slate of NBA Cup action on Tuesday. With so many stars across the association playing, narrowing down a select group of big names to start in season-long fantasy and DFS formats is no easy task. Here are the three guards at the top of tonight’s board:

1. Anthony Edwards, Minnesota Timberwolves vs. HOU ($9,500)
Anyone who’s seen a minute of Timberwolves basketball this season knows that Anthony Edwards has taken his game to another level. The 23-year-old phenom is averaging 27.9 points, 5.2 rebounds and 3.9 assists on 47.2% shooting from the field. That includes a career-high 4.9 three-pointers made on 11.1 attempts, nearly double the amount of long balls he was shooting last year.
As the undisputed alpha in Minnesota, Edwards is a nightly threat to drop 30, regardless of the opponent. The Rockets field one of the NBA’s better defenses, but this is a matchup that Ant has thrived in before. The two-time All-Star has produced 30.4 points over his previous five games against Houston. This budding superstar is worth paying up for tonight given the lack of quality guards behind him.
2. Devin Booker, Phoenix Suns vs. LAL ($9,000)
Devin Booker’s run as the focal point of Phoenix’s offense is coming to an end. While the four-time All-Star is still going to put up numbers, his usage is bound to go down with Kevin Durant returning on Tuesday. Still, the ten-year veteran is one of the best scorers on Earth, which makes him a relatively safe bet to clear 20 points at any given time.
Booker has been especially good against the Lakers, averaging 28.0 points on 45.5% shooting against them in two games this season. He’ll look to keep the good times rolling against Los Angeles tonight, as they’ve given up the fifteenth-most DK fantasy points to opposing guards. With Durant and Bradley Beal likely on a minutes restriction, there should still be plenty of volume for this All-NBA talent.
3. Damian Lillard, Milwaukee Bucks vs. MIA ($8,900)
The Bucks are finally playing up to their potential, winning six of their last seven games. A big reason for Milwaukee’s turnaround has been Damian Lillard, who has put up 22.9 points, 8.0 assists and 4.6 rebounds during that time. This season, the eight-time All-Star is putting up 25.9 points, 4.6 rebounds and 7.4 assists.
As a member of the Bucks, Lillard has done fairly well against the Heat. Over his last three games against Miami, Dame put up 24.3 points, well in line with his total this year. Considering the steep drop-off at the position, there’s no other player that deserves serious consideration to close out this list.
