Apologies for being the bearer of bad news, but it is once again Monday morning. However, with a new day comes a new slate of NBA games and a new chance to take down a contest on DraftKings.

SF/PF Josh Green, Charlotte Hornets vs. Orlando Magic, $3,800
It’s time to talk about maybe the craziest box score I’ve ever seen in my life. On Saturday, the Hornets lost 125-119 against the Bucks. Charlotte was missing Miles Bridges (knee) and Tre Mann (back) to begin the tilt and, during the course of the game, it lost the services of Grant Williams (knee), who has since been ruled out for the rest of the season. Needless to say, the Hornets were undermanned. The result? LaMelo Ball ($10,000) took 38 shots and finished with a 48.4% usage rate. 38 shots, man. Insanity. Well, the team is dealing with the exact same situation on Monday. I’d anticipate Cody Martin ($4,400) moving into the starting five, meaning he and Green will take on added minutes and responsibility. Green was already averaging 22.4 FPTS across his last five contests, so we should be looking at 6x or 7x value on tonight’s slate — maybe more if Ball is more open to passing than he was 48 hours ago.
SF/PF Naji Marshall, Dallas Mavericks at Atlanta Hawks, $4,900
Despite not starting either of the two games the Mavericks have played since losing Luka Doncic (wrist), Marshall has certainly been the asset that benefitted the most from the All-Star’s absence. To wit, Marshall is averaging 23.0 points, 3.0 rebounds and 29.8 FPTS in this span. His 56.8 minutes of action rank second on the team behind only Kyrie Irving ($9,700) and P.J. Washington ($6,000), while Marshall’s 28.3% usage rate since November 22 leads all Dallas players. It’s not exactly clear if the veteran wing can keep up this level of production, but I have my doubts that things fall of cliff on Monday evening. The matchup is simply too good. The Hawks are one of the NBA’s most uptempo teams, entering the day with the league’s second-fastest pace (104.4). Atlanta pairs that mark with basketball’s ninth-worst defensive rating (115.7). Need I say more?
PF/C Robert Williams, Portland Trail Blazers at Memphis Grizzlies, $4,800
There’s no need to overthink this one. It’s not that Williams is the last big man standing in Portland — Duop Reath ($3,000) showed himself to be perfectly capable last season — but with Donovan Clingan (knee) sidelined and Deandre Ayton ($6,600; finger) listed as doubtful for this evening’s game, Williams should get all the minutes he can handle on Monday. He should have fresh legs, too. Williams was rested on Saturday, as it was the Blazers’ second contest in as many nights. Still, don’t let that fool you. Williams has been incredibly productive when available in 2024-25. In fact, Williams is averaging 1.30 FPTS per minute played this season. That’s the highest mark of anyone on Portland’s roster. Williams logged a season-best 25.5 minutes versus Minnesota back on November 12, posting 19 points, nine rebounds, three blocks and 46.25 FPTS. That’s not a guarantee for tonight’s performance, yet it does illustrate just how high the 27-year-old’s ceiling can be.
