NFL Week 12 is almost in the books, pending Monday night’s matchup, but the opening odds for Week 13 are up on DraftKings Sportsbook and it’s time to give a looky-loo.

We have three games on Thanksgiving. The morning game (afternoon for you East Coasters) is the Lions hosting the Bears. The early afternoon game is the Cowboys hosting the Giants. Is this the year the offseason commission chooses to boot Dallas from the Thanksgiving slate? The night game has the Packers hosting the Dolphins.
We have a Friday game! At a time when us West Coasters can eat our leftovers for lunch. The Chiefs host the Raiders. What’s another way they can wiggle their way out of the jaws of defeat?
The early Sunday slate consists of seven games. All the games are within a touchdown with four under a field goal. Three of the games have a total over 45 while there are no sub-40 total games.
The late-afternoon slate consists of three games. All the games have a total over 45 with the PHI/BAL game with the highest total on the week at 50.
The night game was slated to be an awesome one…before the start of the season. The Bills have done their part, but the 49ers are…not in shambles, but have been decimated by the injury gods.
Monday Night Football has the Browns traveling to the Broncos, with the winner getting to keep the B.

You ever seen those videos of people in the safari, standing on the road, filming a lion? The lion marches slowly, getting bigger and bigger until it pounces. Well, that’s what the Detroit Lions have been doing to the rest of the league this season. Since a Week 2 loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Detroit has run off nine straight. They have held the last two teams to only six points while scoring 52 and 24. Dan Campbell was definitely a member of Cobra Kai. The Bears? They are the exact opposite.

The forecast calls for 33 degree temps for this one. Brrrrrrrr. Frozen fish is unappetizing, but at least Tua Tagovailoa is back, throwing for 605 yards and seven touchdowns over the last two weeks.

The Chiefs have an unlimited supply of fairy dust or that deal with the devil is a long-term relationship because they continue to rack up win after win despite being nose to nose with defeat every week. The Autumn Wind has blown the Raiders to the black hole in deep space, where they float around aimlessly.

The Harbaugh family? Coaching legends. And not because they are geniuses. Both Jim and John simplify everything, focusing on the foundations and execution. But the most important quality both have is the ability to adapt. After being a ground-and-pound team to start the season, the Chargers have been airing it out more since the bye. Los Angeles has won four in a row. We shall see how Monday’s Harbaugh Bowl transpires. That said, the Chargers will be on a shorter week. Atlanta is coming off its bye.

Arizona is coming off a tough road trip to Seattle, where it lost 16-6. The Cardinals now have to travel to Minnesota, where the Vikings have lost only one game, and that was to the behemoth that is the Detroit Lions by the score of 31-29. Minnesota has nine wins on the season split with two losses in Week 7 and 8.

Remember the Titans! They had an impressive 32-27 win in Week 12 over the Houston Texans, racking up 369 yards of total offense with 132 on the ground. The time of possession was 34-25 minutes in favor of Tennessee. Washington has now lost three straight, but there were signs of optimism in Week 12, as Jayden Daniels rushed seven times for 74 yards and a touchdown. The rib issue may be behind him.

New Orleans is coming off their bye and have run off two wins after dropping seven straight. They have found their Carr and have been rolling down Hill (this is why I get paid the big bucks), putting up 35 points in Week 11. The Rams got spanked by the Eagles on Sunday night. Things will be much easier against the Saints, but they need to travel to the Big Easy for this one, making this, coincidentally, a tougher task than at first glance.

The schedule was brutal for Tampa Bay prior to its bye, as it played Baltimore, Atlanta, Kansas City and San Francisco. The Buccaneers lost all of those contests. In Week 12, they beat up on the hapless New York Giants and now get the Carolina Panthers and Las Vegas Raiders. But Carolina just barely lost to the Chiefs in Week 12 by the score of 30-27.

Baltimore is playing in the Har-Bowl on Monday night, so it will be a short week for them. They are such a strange team because they can beat any team on any given week, but have lost to the Raiders and Browns. The Eagles have run off seven in a row since the bye, coming off an impressive 37-20 win over the Rams. All signs point to this being an awesome game. Please fantasy gods, please!

Buffalo has lost only two games on the season and currently has a six-game winning streak. The Bills are coming off their bye and have scored at least 30 points in five straight. SF has lost two in a row and Brock Purdy is questionable for this one. The defense allowed 38 points to Green Bay in Week 12.

Since becoming a starter four games ago, Jameis Winston is 2-2 with wins over Baltimore and Pittsburgh. The thing with Winston, though, is the range of outcomes is extremely wide. He can throw for 300+ yards and 3+ touchdowns or throw four picks. Or he could do all three in the same game. Denver is legit on both sides of the ball. Now the Broncos get to host Cleveland at home.
