A great way to close out Week 12 with the Ravens heading to Los Angeles to take on the Chargers. Captain’s Picks
Ladd McConkey/Quentin Johnston ($13,500/$11,00 CP): We’re still waiting for the official word on McConkey for this game. If he’s able to play, he’ll be my captain. However, if he’s ruled out, Johnston would easily slide into the Captain spot for me. Regardless, both are in a great spot against a brutal Ravens secondary.
Johnston is an exciting Captain play IF McConkey is in. The field will gravitate toward McConkey if he’s active because of how well he’s played lately. The matchup is great for both, but I’ll give the bump to Johnston. The Ravens’ secondary has allowed the most fantasy points and receiving yards to perimeter wide receivers. This is where Johnston is lining up on 93% of his snaps. He’ll see a lot of CB Brandon Stephens, who has allowed a 68% catch rate, 13.5 YPR, and three touchdowns. Stephens has been getting cooked over the last few weeks, allowing 17 catches on 26 targets for 214 yards.
FLEX Plays
Will Dissly ($6,400): Dissly is a bit expensive at $6,400, but that’s what has me liking him this week. Plenty of attention will be on McConkey and Johnston, but this is also a great spot for the Chargers tight end. The Ravens have allowed the most catches, second-most receiving yards, and the ninth-most DKFP to tight ends. Dissly is running a route on 84% of his snaps and is averaging 2 yards per route run, which is ranked fifth amongst qualified tight ends. I’ll be curious about where Dissly lands in terms of ownership, but I think he could be lost in the shuffle in the price range.
Zay Flowers ($9,600): Flowers could also be difficult to get into lineups on Monday. There are four players priced at $10K+, and they’ll all be popular. Flowers is priced right below them and could be left on the board because of it. It’s not the best matchup for him, but he moves all around the field and will have favorable spots in doing so. When he’s in the slot, he’ll see Ja’Sir Taylor or Derwin James, who has been a slot corner on 37% of his snaps, a career-high. In coverage, James has allowed a 77% catch rate for 300 yards, 11.1 YPR, and two touchdowns.

Justice Hill ($3,200): While it’s great to pay up for all the studs, it’s impossible roster construction. Hill is a good way to help save some salary at his $3,200 salary. Hill is averaging 3.3 targets and is being used as the change of pace back behind Derrick Henry. The Chargers have been great against the run but have allowed the eighth-most catches to opposing running backs with 52. On those catches, they’ve averaged 6.1 yards. Hill also makes sense in lineups where the Ravens are playing from behind. In the four losses for the Ravens, Hill is averaging 4.5 targets compared to his overall 3.3.
Fades
JK Dobbins ($10,000): I cannot justify paying $10K for Dobbins in this game. His role has been shrinking, but his salary isn’t reflective of that. Dobbins was at the bottom of the list in the red zone last week, as both Gus Edwards and Hassan Haskins got two carries to Dobbins one. Edwards had four carries the week prior, once again overtaking Dobbins, who had three. With a shrinking presence in the red zone and a bad matchup against an elite Ravens run defense, Dobbins doesn’t make sense here. I’d much rather pay up for the quarterbacks over Dobbins.
