It’s a seven-game, fourteen-team night in the NBA. With plenty of teams playing, determining which big names to start in season-long fantasy and DFS formats is no easy task. Here are the three guards at the top of Saturday’s slate:

1. LaMelo Ball, Charlotte Hornets at MIL ($9,600)
After a subpar outing against the Nets to start the week, LaMelo Ball bounced back in a big way on Thursday. In an overtime win over the Pistons, the former All Star put up 35 points, nine assists and six rebounds in just 33 minutes. The performance comes as no surprise, as the Hornets star has the NBA’s highest usage rate (37.7%).
In the past, Ball has dominated this matchup. In nine career games against the Bucks, he’s averaging 27.0 points, 7.2 assists and 6.1 rebounds. This season, Milwaukee is giving up the sixth-most DK fantasy points to opposing guards. This is a favorable spot for Charlotte’s face of the franchise to take advantage of.
2. Stephen Curry, Golden State Warriors at SAS ($9,300)
Even as he nears his 37th birthday, Steph Curry remains one of the NBA’s most dynamic scoring threats. The future Hall of Famer has posted 22.7 points, 5.3 rebounds and 6.6 assists through twelve games. While head coach Steve Kerr’s rotations have cut back the minutes for all of Golden State’s starters, there’s still a lot to like about tonight’s matchup.
While the Spurs are expected to welcome back Victor Wembanyama, this is still a team that Curry has played well against in the past. During his last five games vs. San Antonio, he’s averaged 26.4 points 5.4 assists and 3.0 rebounds. If this one remains close, expect Kerr to lean on his veteran superstar on Saturday night.
3. Damian Lillard, Milwaukee Bucks vs. CHA ($9,100)
The Bucks have been one of the league’s biggest disappointments, thanks in large part to a lackluster perimeter defense. However, Milwaukee still has plenty of talent on the other end of the floor, thanks in large part to Damian Lillard. The eight-time All Star isn’t quite the player he was in Portland, but he’s still tallied 24.8 points and 7.6 assists over thirteen games.
Charlotte has been especially vulnerable against guards, giving up the eighth-most DK fantasy points to the position. In his last five outings against the Hornets, Lillard is putting up 22.0 points, 6.2 assists and 5.4 rebounds. Dame is a nice pivot for those looking to save a bit on a big name tonight.
