LaMelo Ball, Charlotte Hornets at Milwaukee Bucks ($9,600) — The ball is always in Ball’s claws. His 37.6% Usage Rate leads the NBA. He plays 33.2 minutes per game. That’s not the most but the combination of the two makes Ball the No. 2 player in terms of usage and run time. His efficiency isn’t the greatest but this is a preferable matchup. The Bucks are average defensively and rank near the bottom of the Eastern Conference standings.

Cody Martin, Charlotte Hornets at Milwaukee Bucks ($3,900) — There is more than a handful of spend-up options on Saturday’s slate. Throw in the regularly scheduled cheap options in NBA DFS, and it looks like a stars-and-scrubs night. Both are bound to hit. A couple of stars will shine and the scrubs will scrub points from the bucket. Martin is scrubbing away. He’s averaging 26 minutes over the last four games with a high of 36 on Thursday (27.75 DKFP). Martin has a 6x- to 7x-value potential.

Giannis Antetokounmpo, Milwaukee Bucks vs. Charlotte Hornets ($12,300) — It’s time to turn this thing around. The Bucks are supposed to be a championship contender. After a 2-8 start, the Bucks have won five of their last six. The one loss was by one point against the Hornets on Nov. 16. Antetokounmpo registered a triple-double in that contest. He scored 59 points in the game before that and 41 on Nov. 20. He continued the turnaround on Friday (37 points, 11 assists and 10 rebounds).

Julian Strawther, Denver Nuggets at Los Angeles Lakers ($3,800) — The Nuggets got young. They’re giving a lot of minutes to non-Lotto picks. SG/SF Christian Braun ($5,900) and PF Peyton Watson ($5,700) have come into their own. Add the 2023 late first-round pick to the list. Strawther is cheap and has dual eligibility at tough positions to fill (SG/SF). Strawther has averaged over 25 MPG over the last six games. He’s taking shots and grabbing boards. It’s a volatile pick but he will carry low ownership in GPP tournaments.

Nikola Jokic, Denver Nuggets at Los Angeles Lakers ($12,200) — There are several spend-up options at center on Saturday. Differentiation and pivoting are possible plays. Taking the safest NBA DFS pick in history is also an option. Jokic isn’t just safe. He’s also one of the best ceiling picks ever. His MUPO (Minutes+Usage+Pace+Offensive Rating) leads the NBA.

Charles Bassey, San Antonio Spurs vs. Golden State Warriors ($4,200) — The Spurs are running thin. The skinny Spurs will likely be without their skinny superstar on Saturday, along with other key players. Bassey stepped up in their absence in Thursday’s win over the Jazz (37.25 DKFP). He scored 12 points and grabbed eight rebounds in 21 minutes on Nov. 19.
