The Hawks have been an exciting team to start the season, after shaking up the core during the offseason. This has been a very balanced roster, with eight players averaging 9.5 points per game or more. Jalen Johnson is a sharp candidate for Most Improved Player, and has been playing like a star in the early going. Johnson is just one of Atlanta’s many two-way versatile wings that’ve helped this team to success in the early going, along with the addition of Dyson Daniels. De’Andre Hunter is getting healthy, and gives the Hawks even more depth.
This should be a good matchup for the Hawks against a fast paced Bulls team that hasn’t been great on the defensive side of the ball. The Hawks are off a blowout loss on Wednesday in Golden State, and also lost earlier in the season to these very Bulls. Not only does this setup a nice revenge/bounce-back spot for the Hawks, they’re also out to a surprising 2-0 start in NBA Cup play. This team has a realistic shot to win its group, thanks to a massive upset over the Celtics last week. Expect the Hawks to be the more locked in team for this one, along with the talent edge they have when playing with a fully healthy roster.
The Hawks have also been taking the larger, sharper wagers since this game went on the board, which is always a positive sign to see. The Hawks have 45% of the spread bets and 43% of the moneyline bets as of 11am ET on Friday, but for 82% and 75% of the handle, respectively.
