The Cavaliers are coming off their first loss of the season as they face the Pelicans to finish their back-to-back on Wednesday. Both teams will be without multiple regular starters, and the Cavs will give Darius Garland (groin) the night off due to groin soreness. Caris LeVert will miss a second straight game with left knee inflammation. While this will be Garland’s first absence of the season, we have a little bit of an idea what to expect as Donovan Mitchell ($8,800) missed a game last Sunday against the Hornets and Ty Jerome ($4,500) was excellent in a spot start. He will likely get another start and be a great value play again on Wednesday.

PG Ty Jerome, New Orleans Pelicans at Cleveland Cavaliers, $4,500
In his start, Jerome had 39.5 fantasy points with 24 points and eight assists in 32 minutes. He also played a very solid role on Tuesday against Boston, logging 28 minutes but with lower usage and just 20.25 DraftKings points.
On the season Jerome is producing a very nice 1.18 fantasy points per minute with a 20.5% usage rate. Garland has a 27.8% usage rate, which is second on the team to only Mitchell, so there will be extra usage available. Since the Pelicans are so short-handed, as well, the Cavs will likely try to limit Mitchell’s workload, leaving Jerome to run the show as much as possible. He’s already produced over 25 fantasy points in four of his last eight games, so he definitely brings a high enough ceiling to be an elite play at his salary under $5,000 on Wednesday with more work available in a smash spot against the short-handed Pelicans.
