This sets up as a pretty nice spot to back the Warriors, with Golden State coming off a close road loss to the Clippers, and the Hawks squeaking out a win as road underdogs in Sacramento on Monday. The Warriors should be hungry to bounce-back as a sizable home favorite on Wednesday, and Steph Curry is in prime position to lead the way.
The Hawks play at a faster pace with Trae Young on the floor, and we know all about his deficiencies as a defender. However, Young’s poor defense has been highlighted to an extreme when matched up against Curry in his career. The two have gone head-to-head on five occasions, with Curry averaging a whopping 41.6 points per game.
In those five matchups, Curry has scored at least 30 on each occasion, with point totals of 30, 31, 37, 50 and a 60-piece the last time these two teams met back in February. Golden State also happened to drop that game in overtime in Atlanta, so perhaps a bit of a revenge spot for the Dubs at home on Wednesday.
Steph’s numbers have been pedestrian so far on the young season, but this game is a screams for a breakout spot. I’m looking to build out a Same Game Parlay here with the Warriors to win the game and Curry to extend his streak of 30-point games against Young.
