I’ve been going to Simmons on his rebounds + assists prop recently, and coming off a couple of poor games against the Knicks sets up a good spot to go back to it.
Simmons barely missed cashing this in the last two games against the Knicks, finishing with exactly 12 combined in both games. He’s averaging 12.8 combined on the season, and prior to the Knicks games had cashed his over in three of four games. The matchup here should dictate more opportunities for Simmons, going against a much weaker Charlotte team.
The Hornets do rank just below league average in pace, but they’ve been giving up a ton of points, dropping to the bottom third of the league in points per game allowed. The defense has been even worse of late, with Charlotte giving up almost 119 points per in its last three games. Look for Simmons to push the pace and capitalize on plenty of assist chances, and with Nic Claxton still out, Simmons will be counted on to do some work on the glass.
