Rico Dowdle best prop bets for Cowboys vs. Texans

For Week 11’s Monday Night Football Matchup, the Texans visit the Cowboys. On DraftKings Sportsbook, Houston is a 7.5-point favorite and this game’s total is set at 41 points.

Below, I have featured my favorite Rico Dowdle prop to consider from this contest.

Best Rico Dowdle Prop Bets on DraftKings Sportsbook

Rico Dowdle O 20.5 receiving yards (-115)

Dowdle is expected to take on a bigger role this week. When asked about the back this past Thursday, Cowboys’ HC Mike McCarthy had this to say about Dowdle: “You have to get him the ball. That’s my focus to continue to get him opportunities. He’s the lead back.”

While Dowdle was already ahead of Ezekiel Elliot in this Dallas backfield, it seems that the Cowboys’ coaching staff wants to give Dowdle a more featured role going forward, especially with Elliot struggling to help the team both on and off the field.

Dowdle should see more work as both a rusher and a receiver vs. the Texans, and he should exceed this receiving line. This season, Dowdle has seen a target on 22% of his routes, he has caught 82.8% of his targets, and he has surpassed 20 receiving yards in five of his eight games.

Dowdle has done this damage despite running a route on only 37% of his team’s dropbacks. That number should increase this week with all signs pointing to Dowdle seeing a larger role. Plus, with backup quarterback Cooper Rush under center, Dowdle should see more screen passes and short targets, as the Cowboys likely aren’t confident in Rush’s downfield passing.

All in all, this line is too low for Dowdle on Monday and backing him to go over this line is a smart choice.
