Unabated is an industry leader in real-time betting data and profitable sports betting tools. For the NBA season, they created the industry’s first-ever Conditional Projections. Every day, the Unabated NBA team creates projection sets for different scenarios based upon which key players are Questionable on the injury report with massive potential ramifications on the slate.
If you’ve played an NBA slate as a DFS player or prop bettor, you know the deal with the NBA: The injuries are everything. A minute here or there can be the difference between good chalk and bad chalk, quality value or lineup-ruining value, or an over/under winning or losing by the hook.
Every day we have dozens of players marked as Questionable up until game time with their statuses often impacting the edges or micro edges you can have. A couple of times each week here on DraftKings Network, I’ll bring you the latest news and information on a few of the players who seem most noteworthy in Unabated’s Conditional Projections.
The Unabated NBA team, led by industry veteran Justin Phan, currently projects Pacers center Myles Turner to have a 50% chance to play tonight at Toronto. Turner is a late downgrade to Questionable with calf soreness and, typically, late downgrades have a good chance to miss the game.
Turner has been the Pacers’ lone healthy Center since Isaiah Jackson and James Wiseman both went out with Achilles tears. As a result, Turner’s playing status has a huge potential impact on their matchup versus Toronto and Jakob Poeltl. There are possibly lots of minutes at the 5 to go around.
If Turner plays tonight, he projects for 18.4 points, 7.6 rebounds, and 1.7 assists according to Unabated’s NBA projection team.
If Turner is out, some of his starting teammates’ projections are expected to change as outlined below from the Unabated Conditional NBA Projections:
- Tyrese Haliburton projects for 19.1 points, 4 rebounds, and 8.4 assists (if Turner is in, he projects for 18 points, 3.9 rebounds, and 8.8 assists)
- Pascal Siakam projects for 21.9 points, 7.5 rebounds, and 4.1 assists (if Turner is in, he projects for 20.7 points, 7.2 rebounds, and 4.2 assists)
- Bennedict Mathurin projects for 20.8 points, 7 rebounds, and 2 assists (if Turner is in, he projects for 19.6 poinds, 6.3 rebounds, and 2 assists)
Turner projected to have significant ownership on DraftKings tonight at his $6,900 salary. In addition to the other starting Pacers, Jarace Walker’s ownership should soar if Turner sits out tonight. Walker has a $4,300 price tag and SF/PF eligibility on tonight’s DraftKings NBA DFS slate.
