The Bengals and Chargers will take the stage for Sunday Night Football in a big game in the AFC. Let’s breakdown a betting angle below.
Cincinnati Bengals at Los Angeles Chargers
At 4-6, the Bengals have their work cut out for them if they want to make a playoff push. That starts on Sunday night in Los Angeles. While the Chargers have the better record, they’ve had a pretty easy schedule to get to 6-4. We do have to give the coaching advantage to the Chargers in this one too, which is a bit concerning, but you can’t replicate the desperation the Bengals should have for this game.
Cincy is off yet another heartbreaking loss, failing to beat the Ravens on a controversial 2-point conversion. That was back on Thursday Night Football, giving them extra time to prepare for this primetime game. The Chargers have simply been beating up on bad teams. On the three occasions they’ve played teams that currently have winning records, they’ve lost outright to the Steelers, Chiefs and Cardinals.
Of course, the Bengals are also an under .500 team, but we know the potential they have. At 5-6 the Bengals can still salvage their season. If Joe Burrow and company drop this game, it’s hard to see Cincinnati going anywhere at 4-7. It’s a much bigger game for the Bengals, who are also the more talented team. I’ll back them to get the road win here.
