Here are Jonathan Taylor’s current prop bet odds at DraftKings Sportsbook: o/u 81.5 rushing yards, o/u 1.5 receptions and o/u 10.5 receiving yards. Taylor is -110 to score a touchdown, +600 to score 2+ touchdowns and +600 to score the first touchdown of the game.
Jonathan Taylor is having another solid season for the Colts. He missed a few games in the middle of the season due to injury but has had a couple of monster games since returning. Last week against the Bills he had 114 yards on the ground and two weeks before that in his return game against the Texans, he had 105 rushing yards and a score. He is looking for another big game as Anthony Richardson returns at quarterback for the Colts.
The Colts are a much more pass-heavy team with Joe Flacco at quarterback. Flacco is averaging 36 pass attempts per game in his four starts this season. Removing the game where he left early with an injury, Richardson is averaging 26.3 pass attempts per game, ten fewer attempts per game than Flacco. The threat of Anthony Richardson’s legs makes it easier for Jonathan Taylor to be productive on the ground. Three out of four games this season where Jonathan Taylor has run for 100+ yards have been in games where Anthony Richardson is the starter.
This Jets defense is also a great matchup for Jonathan Taylor. They have struggled to stop the run all year, ranking 26th in defensive EPA/rush and 27th in defensive rushing success rate this season. The Jets are on major “quit watch” after laying down against the Cardinals last week. New York gave up 147 rushing yards to Arizona last week and the Colts’ offensive line should be able to push them around. Taylor should be able to break a couple of big runs but the Colts will also be able to grind the Jets down with a steady dose of Taylor on the ground. My best bet on this game is for Taylor to clear his rushing prop of 81.5 yards.
