After missing the first nine games of the season, Embiid played 27 minutes in his season debut. He sat the second leg of a back-to-back but returned to action on Friday and played 33 minutes. Unfortunately, he may miss Monday’s game against the Miami Heat due to an illness. There’s been no mention of what the illness is or the severity of it.
If he’s unable to play, Andre Drummond would likely get the start. With Tyrese Maxey still out, Jared McCain would continue to garner a massive usage rate.
