Hats off to whoever at NFL headquarters who full-court-pressed to have the Cincinnati Bengals vs. Los Angeles Chargers game flexed to Sunday Night Football for NFL Week 11. We nearly were saddled with the New York Jets and the Indianapolis Colts. Instead, we’ve got a primetime, island game full of exciting playmakers who might swing fantasy matchups after Sunday’s sunset: Joe Burrow, Justin Herbert, Ja’Marr Chase, Tee Higgins, Ladd McConkey, J.K. Dobbins, Quentin Johnston, etc. The list goes on.
I’m usually on during the Sunday shifts to break live injury news, but I’m away during this week’s main slate to spend some time with family. Thus, I’m evaluating prop markets for so many of these players early, and writing up lines by which I’m intrigued.
Here’s my best play of the night for QJ1 in electric blue over on DraftKings Sportsbook.
Best Quentin Johnson prop bet for Chargers vs. Bengals on Sunday Night Football

Quentin Johnston o44.5 receiving yards (-115)
Since Week 5, Quentin Johnston is tied as the NFL’s highest-rated wide receiver, according to NFL Next Gen Stats, with at least ten targets during that timespan. He has a perfect 158.3 rating, tied with Terry McLaurin, whose perfect score is that much more impressive given he has about thrice the sample size of QJ1.
here are your five highest-graded pass-catchers in the NFL with at least ten targets since Week 6, according to NFL Next Gen Stats:
– Quentin Johnston (158.3)
– Terry McLaurin (158.3) *includes TNF stats and wowza the sample size‼️
– Kalif Raymond
– Josh Oliver
– Mack Hollins pic.twitter.com/kwVZlRC6i9— Dan Johnson (@dansby_edits) November 16, 2024
However, Johnston leads everyone but McLaurin on this list in routes run, with 57. Take his 32.8 receiving yards per game during that timespan, mix in a little bit of a woebegone Cincinnati Bengals secondary, and garnish with the fact that this game got flexed to primetime for a Harbaugh-led Chargers team desperate to put on a show during an island slate—you’ve got a recipe for 50+ receiving yards.
The Chargers will control this game on the ground with J.K. Dobbins and a healthy Gus Edwards. But, make no mistake. Justin Herbert is Justin Herbert. He’ll find Johnston for a few big gains.
Bottom Line
I wouldn’t mind even messing with some of QJ1’s alt receiving lines, as hinted at above. I know not if I’m brave enough to go above 70+, for which he’s +285 odds on DraftKings Sportsbook.

It’s the sort of matchup that’s shaping up to be a career yardage-total night, however, given both Joe Burrow’s ability to score on any defense at will and his defense’s ability to let opponents do the same.
