There’s only a few weeks remaining in the fantasy football regular season, so each matchup matters even more with playoff seeding on the line. Fans can also get in on the Week 11 action in DraftKings Daily Fantasy Football contests.
Whether they’re on your season-long roster or you’re looking to pay up for a stud on DraftKings DFS, here are three must-start players for Week 11.
Christian McCaffrey, RB, San Francisco 49ers (vs. Seattle Seahawks): $8,300
No introduction is necessary for Christian McCaffrey. Every fantasy player knows how dominant a force the halfback is, both on the real gridiron and the virtual one.
It took 10 weeks, but the godfather of fantasy football finally returned to the field after dealing with a lingering Achilles issue all season. In his first game back, McCaffrey posted an uninspiring rushing line of 13 carries for 39 yards. However, he did his damage in the receiving game, catching six-of-seven targets for 68 yards. In total, he crossed 100 scrimmage yards on the day for 16.7 fantasy points.
Frankly, last week’s performance is the floor for McCaffrey. The guy just got healthy and hasn’t had ample time to readjust to game speed, yet he played 88% of snaps and finished as the week’s RB10. In Week 11, he now faces a Seattle defense ranked 25th in total yards allowed, 26th in rushing yards given up, and 23rd in EPA/rush. In a positive matchup against an NFC West rival, trust McCaffrey to deliver an elite fantasy outing.
Amon-Ra St. Brown, WR, Detroit Lions (vs. Jacksonville Jaguars): $8,000
Looking towards wide receivers, Amon-Ra St. Brown strikes the perfect balance between target volume, touchdown potential, and plus-matchup this week.
The 25-year-old star is averaging 17.6 fantasy points per game and has one of the safest fantasy floors of any player, so you can count on him to deliver any given week. St. Brown falls top-15 in total targets this season league-wide, and while his average of 7.3 per game is lower than the wideout has seen in past seasons, he’s still the primary option in one of the NFL’s best offenses. He’s scored a touchdown in seven consecutive appearances, so ride the hot hand here.
He’ll line up across from the lowly Jaguars, a team in the midst of a lost campaign at 2-8. Their defense is dead-last in yards allowed per game at a staggering 390.6, last in EPA/pass, third-worst in passing yards allowed, and also 27th overall in points given up per contest. Expect offensive fireworks from the Lions in this matchup, so pencil St. Brown into lineups.
De’Von Achane, RB, Miami Dolphins (vs. Las Vegas Raiders): $7,200
Miami speedster De’Von Achane is a slightly more cost-effective pick than the other two players on this list, but that doesn’t mean he’s any less capable of elite production.
Ignore Achane’s season-long scoring average of 16.6 points. Focus instead on his numbers when quarterback Tua Tagovailoa starts. Across those five contests, Achane averages an absurd 24.3 points per game, with only one performance below 23 points. His rushing efficiency may be down this season, but his elite speed provides house-call ability on any given play. More importantly, his receiving usage is up, with at least five catches in every game with Tagovailoa under center.
The opposing Raiders rank 22nd in rushing yards allowed per game, 29th in total yards, and 30th in scoring. A team which began the season with some mild hope (sans a QB) quickly collapsed to 2-7, and they haven’t won a game since September 29. The Dolphins are coming off a much-needed victory in Week 10, and they’ll almost certainly keep their playoff hopes alive against a dejected Las Vegas team this week.
