Quarterback Start ’Em, Sit ’Em Fantasy Football Week 11 Picks

Published:

By: Jeff Pratt

Week 11 of the NFL season has arrived, and the fantasy quarterback landscape has taken quite the turn. Lamar Jackson and Baker Mayfield currently reign supreme, but who will stand out this week?

Let’s break down my Week 11 start ’em, sit ’em fantasy football quarterback picks.

Start ‘Em: Bo Nix (Broncos) vs. Falcons

One of the most surprising fantasy breakout players of the season, Nix has proven his value time and time again as of late.

The rookie racked up at least 21 points in three of his four outings in Weeks 5-8, and then proceeded to showcase a high floor against two solid teams in the Ravens and Chiefs. The improved rapport with Courtland Sutton has been a massive difference-maker for Nix recently, and he’ll look to keep the positive momentum rolling against a Falcons defense that allows the seventh-fewest fantasy points to quarterbacks.

Sit ‘Em: Jordan Love (Packers) at Bears

It’s been a struggle for Love as of late. After suffering an injury against the Jaguars, the 26-year-old couldn’t get anything going against a stout Lions defense, scoring just 7.9 fantasy points with no touchdowns and one interception.

It won’t get any easier from a matchup perspective this week. While the Bears haven’t been winning games lately, Chicago’s defense has held up their end of the bargain, allowing the fewest fantasy points to opposing quarterbacks per game. Fresh off a bye week, health is no longer a concern for Green Bay’s signal caller, but I’d still leave him on your bench in favor of a QB with a more favorable matchup.

Start ‘Em: Russell Wilson (Steelers) vs. Ravens

Don’t look now, but the Russell Wilson resurgence may be a real thing.

Wilson struggled with accuracy a bit in Pittsburgh’s last outing, but he still racked up almost 200 yards and three touchdowns. The veteran has now scored at least 19 fantasy points in two of his three starts for the Steelers. He’ll look to keep the positive momentum rolling this week against a Ravens defense that allows the second-most fantasy points to opposing quarterbacks.

Sit ‘Em: Patrick Mahomes (Chiefs) at Bills

Naturally, the last time I suggested to sit Mahomes, he scored over 20 points for the first time this season.

However, numbers are numbers, and they’ve been ugly from a fantasy standpoint for the superstar, regardless of his team’s undefeated record (which should have been broken last Sunday against Denver). The Broncos terrorized Mahomes with their pass rush, holding him to just 16.5 points and only one total touchdown. This week, he draws a Bills defense that allows the fifth-fewest fantasy points to quarterbacks.

The Chiefs very well could win that game, but I’m not expecting stellar stats from Mahomes.
