Is Aaron Jones playing in Week 11 vs. the Titans?

After battling a rib injury last week vs. the Jaguars, Vikings RB Aaron Jones ($6,900) is off the injury report and will be able to play in Week 11. If he’s limited at all, Cam Akers ($4,600) would get more work, but for now, it looks like Jones should be good to go.

The latest on Aaron Jones

All week, coach Kevin O’Connell said he expected that Jones would be limited in practice this week, but would play in Week 11 in Tennessee, and it looks like that is indeed the case, according to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport:

It seems clear that he’ll play, but what should we do with Jones this week? The Titans are typically a tough matchup vs. the run, but that hasn’t been the case lately. Opposing RBs have scored eight touchdowns against them in the last four weeks, averaging 90.0 rushing yards and 18.3 receiving yards per game over that stretch.

While Jones hasn’t produced more than 13 fantasy points in any of his last three games, he also hasn’t been held under 10 fantasy points since Week 5. He has at least 17 carries in each of the last three games and multiple receptions in each of his last four.

The Bottom Line

With so much volume and a matchup that is better than it looks at first glance, Jones could be a good source of leverage in DFS contests like the NFL $2.5M Fantasy Football Millionaire [$1M to 1st]. The public might avoid him due to the injury and his lower outputs the last few weeks, which are mostly due to a lack of touchdowns. With some positive touchdown regression, he could be a very nice option this week. In season-long leagues, Jones can be used as normal.

The Vikings are six-point road favorites against the Titans, and Jones has the shortest odds on the board at -120 to score a touchdown.
