UPDATE: Hurts is back on the sideline and has been cleared to return.
With less than 30 seconds left in the first half, the Eagles were driving for their first touchdown of the game. On third down, Hurts dropped back to pass. He was unable to see two wide-open receivers in the end zone, Instead, he scrambled left then tried to shovel a pass towards the end zone. Unfortunately, two Commanders defenders tackled him from behind, causing Hurts to get pancaked face-first into the turf.
Hurts went to the medical tent, but was seen jogging towards the locker room after a few minutes.

If Hurts is unable to continue, Kenny Pickett would enter the game.
Prior to exiting, Hurts went 10-of-19 for 101 yards while rushing five times for 23 yards.
