Week 11 of the NFL season has arrived! The fantasy tight end landscape is in a state of constant flux, so it’s time to take a deeper dive into that position.
Let’s break down my Week 11 start ’em, sit ’em fantasy football TE picks.
Start ‘Em: Mark Andrews (Ravens) at Steelers
Mark Andrews is a fantasy enigma.
Minimal target share? Doesn’t matter. Limited snaps? No big deal. The guy simply finds a way to get into the end zone virtually on a weekly basis.
Now, Andrews actually saw the field quite a bit with Isaiah Likely sidelined last week, receiving his highest target share of the season and turning it into six receptions for 68 yards and a touchdown. The veteran has now scored at least 14 fantasy points in four of his last five games. As long as he continues to be a red zone threat, he’s worth starting.
Sit ‘Em: Zach Ertz (Commanders) at Eagles — THURSDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL
Ertz has been a major beneficiary of the Jayden Daniels breakout this season, but his numbers have slowed down a bit as of late. After scoring at least 14 points in back-to-back games, he hasn’t eclipsed the 8-point mark in consecutive contests.
The veteran’s target share has been relatively solid, but tonight he draws a matchup with the Eagles, who allow the third-fewest fantasy points to tight ends in the league. There are better options out there this week, especially with Ertz coming off a short week.

Start ‘Em: Kyle Pitts (Falcons) at Broncos
Pitts bounced back nicely from his disappointing Week 8 showing, racking up 9.5 PPR points. It was by no means an astounding performance, but it was nice to see him assume a larger target share after seeing only one ball come his way the prior week.
Pitts will have a strong opportunity to keep the momentum rolling vs. a Broncos defense that is relatively vulnerable against tight ends, as demonstrated by Travis Kelce’s 20.4-point outing last Sunday.
Sit ‘Em: Jake Ferguson (Cowboys) vs. Texans
Ferguson is arguably the most underrated tight end in the league. That doesn’t matter if the Cowboys can’t get him the ball.
After seeing 18 targets across Weeks 8 and 9, Ferguson received just four against Philadelphia with Cooper Rush under center. The unfortunate reality is, as long as Dak Prescott is sidelined, Ferguson will struggle to produce on a consistent basis. I expect that to remain the case against the Texans, who allow the fewest fantasy points to this position.
