Karl-Anthony Towns is listed as questionable for Friday’s NBA Cup game against the Nets after suffering a knee injury during Wednesday’s loss to the Bulls.
The 7-footer poured in 46 points and grabbed 10 rebounds in the home matchup. The Knicks lost 124-123 in regulation.
The veteran center has outstanding for the Knicks in his first season with the team. Towns is averaging a team-high 26.5 points, 12.2 rebounds and 0.8 blocks per game. He’s also shooting 53.6 percent from the field and 50.8 percent from distance, while playing 33.9 minutes per game.
Despite enduring an injury late against the Bulls, Towns finished the game. His status is now questionable heading into Friday’s matchup.
The Knicks won the their first NBA Cup game against the 76ers on Tuesday. They will try to go 2-0 in group play with or without Towns in the lineup.
