DeMar DeRozan is listed as doubtful for Friday’s game against the Timberwolves after suffering back tightness during Wednesday night’s contest against the Suns.
The 35-year-old forward has been relatively healthy throughout his career, even playing a league-high 37.8 minutes per game last season. That average was up to 38.2 prior to his mid-game injury on Wednesday.
DeRozan played just 17 minutes before exiting the game against the Suns. He did not return. Keon Ellis started the second half in place of DeRozan and could see increased minutes if he’s sidelined further.
DeRozan did not practice on Thursday, per James Ham.
