The Eagles have won five straight coming off their bye week as they host the Commanders in a big Thursday Night Football matchup to kick off Week 11. While there are plenty of fantasy football All-Stars that are must-starts in that matchup, is Dallas Goedert ($6,600 in Showdown) an option you should have in your lineups this week? Let’s take a look:
Dallas Goedert’s season so far
Goedert has dealt with injury issues this season, but he has been fairly productive on the field, especially when Philly was missing other pass-catching players. He had his best game of the year back in Week 3 against the Saints with 10 catches for 170 yards and 30 fantasy points.
In Week 4, he was very busy again with seven catches, 62 yards, and 13.2 fantasy points against the Bucs. After the bye week, though, he injured his hamstring in a Week 6 matchup with the Browns and missed three weeks.
In Week 10, he returned to the field and hauled in two catches for 25 yards and saved his fantasy day with this touchdown.

He played 63% of snaps for the Eagles this week despite spending some time in the injury tent with an ankle injury. That injury would have forced him to sit out Monday’s practice, according to the Eagles’ estimated practice report, but he was upgraded to a limited participant in Tuesday’s estimate.
It looks like he’s on track to play this week against Washington, who has been a slightly above-average matchup for tight ends this season, allowing an average of 37.3 receiving yards per game to the position and five tight end touchdowns in the last six weeks.
The Verdict
Whether you start or sit Goedert largely depends on your other options. With the rest of the Eagles’ receivers healthy, he’s not a must-start, elite option. However, he is a regular starter in 10-team standard leagues, and I ranked him as my No. 9 option this week.
If you don’t have an elite play, Goedert is involved enough (especially near the end zone) to be a starter.
The Eagles are 3.5-point favorites on Thursday and Goedert is +190 to score a touchdown.
