If Tee Higgins returns in Week 11, is Mike Gesicki still a must-start?

Tee Higgins has missed three games in a row with a quad injury, but the wideout went through walk through Wednesday, which Bengals’ HC Zac Taylor said is meant for players who plan to play Sunday.

Mike Gesicki has become a rock solid option at a weak tight end position with Higgins sidelined, but if the receiver returns, Gesicki’s value will plummet. In the five games Gesicki has played without Higgins this season, Gesicki has been targeted on 27% of his routes and he has produced 15.0 FPTS per game. However, in the five games Higgins has been active for, Gesicki has only seen a target on 9% of his routes and he has only generated 3.0 FPTS per game.

This is a massive discrepancy and, if Higgins returns this Sunday night vs. the Chargers, Gesicki won’t be a viable starter for season-long leagues and he will be a player to avoid for DFS. Furthermore, Gesicki’s unders in the betting market will also be worth considering.

On the DraftKings Sportsbook, Cincinnati are 1.5-point underdogs vs. Los Angeles.
