It’s an eleven-game, twenty-two team Wednesday night in the NBA. With so many stars across the association playing, narrowing down a select group of big names to start in season-long fantasy and DFS formats is no easy task. Here are the three centers at the top of tonight’s slate:

1. Victor Wembanyama, San Antonio Spurs vs. WAS ($10,900)
Through eleven games, Victor Wembanyama hasn’t made his seemingly inevitable leap into the upper echelon of NBA superstars. That shouldn’t take away from the stellar numbers he’s produced in year two. The Frenchman is putting up 19.7 points, 10.5 rebounds, and a whopping 3.9 blocks per game, firmly entrenching himself as the early favorite for Defensive Player of the Year.
The sophomore big man has a tantalizing matchup on deck against the cellar-dwelling Wizards. So far, Washington has allowed the most points in the NBA (121.7 PPG) and the seventh-most DK fantasy points to opposing centers. Fresh off of a 34-point showing on Monday vs. the Kings, Wembanyama will look to keep the good times rolling against an even easier opponent.
2. Karl-Anthony Towns, New York Knicks vs. CHI ($8,700)
Although his shots weren’t falling like normal, Karl-Anthony Towns was still a force to be reckoned with last night against the 76ers. New York’s starting center put up a 21-point, 13-rebound double-double while flashing some impressive passing on six assists. It was yet another solid performance in what has been a terrific first season with the Knicks.
Even though Wednesday’s matchup vs. the Bulls is on the second leg of a back-to-back, Towns is lined up nicely for another big game. Chicago has given up the most points in the paint (58.5 PPG) to opponents, which is bad news against one of the game’s most gifted scorers. KAT has recorded 40 DK fantasy points or more in his past seven outings, so it would be a shock to see his streak end tonight.
3. Alperen Sengun, Houston Rockets vs. LAC ($8,100)
Full disclosure: if Joel Embiid were to play tonight, he’d warrant strong consideration to make this list. Still, it’s doubtful the 76ers let their superstar take the court on the second game of a back-to-back, especially against a good Cavaliers defense.
For a safer choice, look no further than Alperen Sengun. The Rockets’ star is becoming one of the game’s most dependable centers, averaging 17.8 points, 11.5 rebounds, and 3.8 assists on 47.8% shooting. After scoring 27 points in his last two games, the Turkish big man looks to be taking his offensive game up a notch this season.
However, he’ll have a tougher test on Wednesday against a Clippers defense giving up the fifth-fewest points in the association (108.8 PPG). Still, they’ve been somewhat vulnerable inside, allowing the ninth-most DK fantasy points to opposing centers. Over his past three games against Los Angeles, Sengun has posted 20.0 points, 11.7 rebounds and 8.0 assists. A similar stat line would deliver some serious profit for those putting him in their lineups tonight.
